Video Playlist: Alex Kelsey

Updated: Mar 17

For our first Video Playlist in 2018, meet Alex Kelsey. Alex is a young man who lives in New Zealand and has a passion for rally race cars. In 18 months, using his family’s barn as his garage, he was able to build a competitive rally car with a V6 engine from scratch. Alex also has dyslexia and in his own words, “barely scraped through high school.”

In Video 1 from the YouTube Channel, “Cheap Trillz,”, learn more about Alex, his dyslexia, and what it took to build a car from scratch.

Want to know more? Video 2 below, (which has over 1.2 million views), from YouTube Channel, “TheSmokingTire” goes deeper into the mechanics of Alex’s amazing car. (Warning: video contains some explitives and strong images. Viewer discretion advised).

We hope Alex’s story inspires you as much as it has inspired us at Friends of Quinn. Stay tuned for more videos handpicked by Quinn, and if there is a video you would like to share, let us know!
