What is the diffrences between vcfs and phela mcdermid syndrome
i was wondering what might the diffrences between the two syndromes because i am unshure if i have vcfs or phela because sone of the symptoms of phela i seem to kind of mach and i am unshure if i may have it. when i was a week old i had an open heart surgery and i was wondering if people with phela mcdermid had to have an open heart sugery and phela is also considered an Autisum spectrum disorder and i have an asd, And i also have a nasal tone wich i was wondeing if one of the symptoms of phela is a nasal tone wich i was curious about.

I have noticed you have many questions on whether your diagnosis is correct. It would be best to speak with your doctor about your concerns. He or she would be better able to explain the similarities and differences between VCFS, Phelan-McDermid Syndrome and how autism fits into this.
In the meantime, according to Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases "Features common
to VCF and Phelan-McDermid syndrome include hypotonia, broad nasal root, epicanthal folds, narrow palpebral fissures, renal abnormalities, speech delay, and developmental delay."
