Flu shot this morning

Alex had his 14 year check up this morning and got his flu shot. He cried in the exam room and was still upset while we were checking out. Of course, there had to be another parent standing at the desk to witness his tears. I calmly told him that the stinging would stop in a few minutes, gave him a hug, and made appointments for the other four to get their shots tomorrow. Alex has been going to this ped since he was born and most of the staff knows about his Asperger's. No one gave him a dirty look or rolled their eyes at him. It was so nice for him not to be told to stop crying or to act his age.
Now that he's home, he's trying to convince me that his arm is too sore to write his home school assignments. Nice try. I made sure the got the injection in his right arm and he's left handed!
