Friends of Quinn

Another Eminem song that I really like (though it's not his best) is "Big Weenie," because it is a song with an interesting and important message that so many of us can unfortunately relate to. In the song he describes the psyche of a Bully and why they do the things that they do.

You are just jealous of me cause you, you just can't do what I do
So instead of just admitting it, you walk around and say
All kinds of really mean things about me

Cause I'm what you want to be, so you just look like an idiot
When you say these mean things, cause it's too easy to see
You're really just a big weenie, big weenie

At first thought, one might consider Eminem to be the completely wrong person to write a song like this. I love that he speaks so boldly about bullying, even rapping about it, because it really shows what an impact that bullying had on him and the impact that it can have on somebody.

It is very clear that when you are bullied it sticks with you for the rest of your life. Sometimes when I've listened to my dad talk about his days at war I've thought about bullying. It can be the kind of trauma that you will never forget. This is why it's so important to address it and change it.
